There is Hope..

Depression, anxiety attacks, issues like peer pressure, academic expectations and physical builts that bring a lot of ups and downs for teenagers are one of the major causes why teenager nowadays commits suicide. It is a very rampant issue especially in our country, Philippines. Suicide among young people continue to be a serious problem. It is the second leading cause of death for children, adolescents and adults.

Most of the people who commit suicide don’t want to die but they just want to end the pain that they choose to keep for too long. Many people are saying that people who commits suicide are just doing to it for the trend but being depressed or anxious is a very serious problem that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and lost of interest in everything you do or even in your everyday life. It has a big impact to your mental health that really affects how a teenager feels, think, behaves and causes emotional stress and physical problems. And the worst part is when you have no one to talk to or no one to share on what you truly feel deep inside.

Having those different suicidal thoughts can change a lot of perspectives and sometimes it makes you do the things you don’t usually do. Easily irritated, frustration or feelings of anger even in small matters and a sudden feelings of sadness which includes crying with non apparent reasons are one of the symptoms of this illness. Having those thoughts isn’t something that can be overcome easily but it requires a lot of time or a long term treatment.

We all have different perspectives about this issue but in my opinion if you really let God be the center of your life and make Him as your first priority, you really can’t think of anything that can harm you. Because you believed that living is a blessing. Sometimes we may think “Life is unfair” and immediately lost all our faith because of the uncertain things happened that we don’t actually expect, but I know for sure that God has a reason and a purpose for it. We should’nt let trials be a hindrance to our success. We all deserve the world and God planned a beautiful future a head of us.

Life is too short to focus on the things that don’t actually matter in the first place. Live life to fullest but according to His ways. Take risks. Spend time with your family instead using phone and surfing the internet. Go out with your friends. Study hard. Spent time with God. Don’t forget to thank Him for everything despite of our lapses. There are many underrated blessings to ponder. Be grateful. Think positively. Look at the brighter side of life. Life is too precious to just end it like a snap. 🙂
